The 4th of July kicks off with the much-anticipated AMI Privateers 4th of July Parade, a lively celebration of patriotism and community spirit. From 10am to 12:30pm, colorful floats, marching bands, and local organizations come together for a joyful procession along the island’s streets. Be sure to find a prime spot along the parade route to catch all the excitement and cheer.
After the parade, it’s the perfect time to head over to The Waterfront Restaurant for a delightful lunch. We’re located right on the water on Anna Maria Island and are a popular choice for locals and tourists alike. Indulge in our delectable dishes, featuring fresh ingredients and exquisite flavors. The Grand Finale After Dark
There are a few fireworks displays on the island for the 4th of July, but the big one is across Sarasota Bay. Organized by Suncoast Charities for Children in partnership with Marina Jack and produced by Pyrotecnico, the fireworks are a big annual event for Sarasota. Pyrotecnico puts on a massive display that is probably the best in Southwest Florida.
What sets Anna Maria Island apart is that you get a great view of this show without having to face the traffic and crowds of Sarasota, which is packed on the 4th of July.
